Travel

By Air
33.9 Million passengers pass through the Munich airport every year, making it the second busiest airport in Germany, just after Frankfurt. It is ranked No. 1 in domestic air travel, with 10 million passengers. 106 airlines, direct connections to 73 countries and 244 destinations make Munich an attractive destination.

There are good domestic air links to and from Munich which will guarantee connecting flights to world-wide destinations.

By Car
Since October 2008 the city of Munich is a low emission zone. So-called Emissions Stickers (red, yellow or green) are required to drive in the low emission zone. This also applies to anyone visiting the city. All streets located inside the "Mittlerer Ring" are considered to be in the low emission zone, for which a sticker is required. The "Mittlerer Ring" itself is not in the low emission zone.

Messe München GmbH and DEKRA Automobil GmbH have set up a service point for visitors. Emissions stickers may be purchased at DEKRA for EUR 5.00.

Satellite Navigation
Depending on which navigation system you use, the New Munich Trade Fair Centre and the ICM are listed under the categories "Exhibition Centre", "Trade-fair Centre" and under the German keyword "Messe".

Some navigation systems allow you to select the East, West or North Entrance to the trade-fair centre. In this case, you should be sure to select an entrance that the FESPA show is in.
